The evidence pledge

What every listed practitioner signs.

I ground my recommendations in peer-reviewed research. I share the studies behind them. I am honest about what the evidence does and does not show. I respect the body's own capacity to heal.

How verification works

Every listing passes the same three checks before it appears, and the shield means all three are current.

  • Licence check. An editor confirms the licence with the issuing state or national board's public lookup and records the board, the URL checked, the date and who checked it. Licence numbers are never published.
  • Evidence pledge. The practitioner signs the pledge above when they apply. The date is kept on file.
  • Profile review. An editor reads the profile for accuracy and for claims that go beyond the evidence.

Licences are re-verified every year. If a re-check is missed, the shield comes off until it is done.

How ranking works

Ranking is the verified-patient rating weighted by review count, plus the practitioner's response rate to appointment requests. New listings start at a neutral prior and show "New" until they have three reviews. Payment is never an input. Premium members appear in a separate row that is always labelled as paid placement.

A listing whose average falls under 4.0 across five or more verified reviews is held automatically while editors review it. Held listings leave the directory and the Featured row, and Premium billing pauses.

Who can review

Only patients with a confirmed visit. Patients who request an appointment through the directory receive a one-time review link two weeks later. Practitioners can also invite a patient by email; those reviews are labelled as invited. Each link works once, and we keep only a hash of the patient's email. Reviews pass an automatic screen for contact details and abusive language; anything flagged waits for an editor. Editors remove reviews that break the guidelines and never remove honest ones.

What GreenMedInfo does not do

  • We take no referral fees and nothing from appointments.
  • We do not sell practitioner or patient data.
  • We do not provide medical advice or endorse individual practitioners. Listings are information to help you choose and ask better questions.
